Louise’s mission is to help mums prioritise their fitness and their physical and mental health through expert coaching and a supportive, motivating community.
She believes that once you've experienced pregnancy, you'll forever be post natal. Whether it’s been 6 weeks or 6 years, no matter how long ago you had children it’s possible to still experience injuries resulting from pregnancy and birth.
Louise helps mums to safely return to exercise and restrengthen their body from the inside out, increasing body awareness and confidence.

Prior to doing the awesome job that she gets to do now, Louise was awarded with undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in psychology, followed by an eleven year career in clinical psychology and mental health research. In 2015 she welcomed her first baby to the world... and all priorities were turned upside down!
She had a strong desire for a career change to better suit her family’s new lifestyle and with a lifelong passion for movement, was eager to explore new qualifications and a new career in the fitness industry.
When her second child was born prematurely, after only 27 weeks of gestation, she spent a lot of time in the neonatal intensive care unit. During this time she met many mums who shared with her their different postnatal experiences. Louise began to realise that there were gaps in postnatal education and follow-up care that could equip mums to return safely to their everyday movement within their busy lives. It was this journey that inspired her to refine her skills and specialise in fitness for mums.
Louise has merged her skills in mental health with her passion for pregnancy and postnatal movement by creating the Body Resilient Mum Project, an online course helping mums to improve their body image.

I can hand on my heart say that Strong Mums is my fitness home and Lou is my trainer of trainers…she is Amazing! I’ve always loved fitness, but as a busy mum of 2, finding my fitness mojo again was challenging. Lou has given me my motivation, body confidence, strength and sanity back! I absolutely love training with Strong Mums. It wasn’t an easy decision as i had thought i might prefer training back at a gym, but i can honestly say that i wouldn’t even consider a gym now. Not only do we train with a lovely bunch of ladies, but we get to enjoy the outdoors, sunshine and fresh air. Our kids run around playing in the park and have just as much fun as their mums. Lou is a great trainer that pushes you just that little bit more but knows when to stop. I highly recommend.

My kids and I look forward to going every week. I always leave feeling a thousand times better after fitting in a thorough workout and having connected with other mums. Even though the weights have literally been on my shoulders, I feel like a weight has lifted after having got a great dose of fresh air, exercise and a decent adult conversation! My kids have a blast playing in the park and making new friends also. Lou keeps the sessions interesting by changing the routines each week. I can’t recommend Lou highly enough… she is extremely supportive, knowledgeable and professional and I wish we were able to take part more often!

I have always done my training at the gym by myself, but doing this with Strong Mums in a group environment is fantastic. I love that the exercise’s are focused on women who are either having or have had children, so everyone is in the same boat and so friendly and welcome. Group sizes are small so everyone gets attention to if if they need to correct their form etc, and every day is focused on a different area of the body so plenty of variety. It feels social as well as getting in a workout, and the best part is you take your children with you and they can play alongside us mums, setting a good example for them. I love it!

Joining Strong Mum’s has been the best decision I made for myself this year. I’m a mum of 4 children, 2 with special needs. I was stuck in a rut with my bad eating habits and lack of exercise, and my mental health was suffering because of it. I had followed Strong Mum’s on Facebook for a while before I finally took the plunge and joined up. From the first moment I spoke with Louise I knew this was the right trainer and group for me as she takes a holistic approach to health and fitness. The focus is on nourishing our bodies with good food and building our strength through the outdoor training programs. The combination of these has improved my overall health and well being. Being able to exercise in the outdoors and also bring your babies/children along to play in the park is definitely a bonus, as is the adult conversation with the other mum’s. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Louise is attentive and accommodating to each individual’s needs with both training and emotional/mental well being. I signed up for 12 weeks but I will be continuing on as Strong Mum’s has become a part of my life and routine. If you are a mum looking to make a positive change in your life, this is the best place to start.

Her focus on safely returning to exercise and functional movement is central to her training. She really knows her stuff, and is super generous in sharing her knowledge. She is also a great baby cuddler!

I joined strong mums as a way to meet new people and an opportunity to get out of the house and do something for myself, getting fitter and stronger was an added bonus. As a mum of 3, putting yourself first can be put on the back burner at times. I’m now almost a year into my ‘strong mums’ journey and to say I’ve achieved my goal is an understatement. This experience has been more than I bargained for. My mental health is better than it has ever been, along with my physical health and I have made some incredible friendships along the way. Lou is always so kind, caring and nurturing and very accommodating of everyone’s differences and abilities. Thank you Lou for creating this group of amazing ladies and for changing my life for the better x
